Did you know that 43% of adults took part in some form of learning during the pandemic (Learning and Work Institute).
Last week, we celebrated ‘Learning at Work Week’ with our L&D and People Teams crafting a full programme of enriching sessions for our Breadheads to support both their professional and personal learning.
One of our commitments to our bakery teams is to offer opportunities to RISE with GAIL’s and aiming for 70% of our management teams to be internally promoted. But we also know that development doesn’t always means upwards, and that personal growth is just as important.
This year we combined our annual ‘Leading Through Learning Week’ with Mental Health Awareness Week, launching Mental Health First Aid Training with Harry Corin to our Bakery Managers.
Throughout the week, we were lucky enough to be joined by some of the industry's most inspiring and influential specialists in learning & wellbeing. Thank you, Graham Wilson, Alice Connor, and Liggy Webb for joining us.
Over 230 breadheads joined the masterclasses such as cake decorating, craft gin tasting, sign language, book club, presentation skills and many more.
Here’s to another year of putting learning at the heart of each of our neighbourhood bakeries.
