The Food Trainer is our expert voice on food quality, kitchen process, and baking craft supporting our Bakeries with the right knowledge to maintain high standards. You will work closely with bakery teams, head bakers, and operational leaders to embed a culture of continuous learning, sharing product knowledge and supporting the development of our Bakers to through effective coaching and training.


Develop our future Head Bakers.

  • Design and deliver structured development pathways training that prepare talented bakers for leadership. Run engaging workshops and practical sessions in our academy to build the skills, product knowledge, confidence, and leadership needed to step into a Head Baker role.
  • Create a positive learning environment where people feel supported, challenged, and motivated to improve every day.
  • Build capability in core baking, production, and kitchen skills by identifying development needs and providing supportive, effective coaching to help Bakers growth (RWG).


Support new product launches

  • Create training materials, support delivering training sessions, and share best practice to ensure products are made with care, accuracy, and consistency - ensuring every bakery team can execute a launch with consistency from day one.
  • Support new bakery openings.
  • Be on the ground at new bakery openings, delivering hands-on training, operational guidance, and coaching support to set up new teams with the knowledge, confidence, and habits they need to thrive from the start.


Coach in the bakeries.

  • Lead by example in craft, working side-by-side with bakery teams to coach, guide, and develop Bakers through practical training, demonstration, and clear feedback. Identify skill gaps, give real-time feedback, and follow up to ensure improvements are embedded and sustained.
  • Encourage a strong commercial attitude in bakeries by promoting efficient ways of working, helping teams build good habits that support business performance.


Champion food quality standards.

  • Own the training of food and kitchen processes across all bakeries, ensuring teams understand and consistently deliver our standards of craft and quality.
  • Be the trusted expert teams turn to when they need coaching to deliver consistent product quality.


Create engaging learning materials.

  • Develop training resources —guides, visual aids, video content, assessments — that are practical, inspiring, and reflective of our commitment to craft.
  • Collaborate with wider Teams on key business initiatives


ARE YOU THE MISSING INGREDIENT

  • Strong training skills with experience in food and working in hospitality an advantage
  • Highly collaborative within the L&D team and the wider teams
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Deliver training sessions confidently
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • Identify and measure the results of different trainings
  • Able to give clear, constructive feedback that motivates and builds capability
  • Ability to work on own with minimal supervision and use sound judgment
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise
  • Passionate about both quality food and training
  • Agile with high level attention to detail
